The headlines are filled with heartbreaking stories of violence claiming religion as a justification. We are surrounded by dark and dishonest rhetoric from and about people of other faiths. Many of us vacillate between a growing sense of dread and a desire to turn away and hope it will all disappear.  Yet nothing indicates this storm is going away on its own.

While fear and hatred are contagious, so is courage and compassion. As followers of Jesus we are called to both, and to be God's presence in the world. In that spirit we invite you to
  • learn more about Islam
  • build new relationships with Muslims and other Christians, and
  • courageously take a stand for peace.
